Alzheimer's

This research-based activity helps students understand Alzheimer’s, the most common cause of dementia. Students investigate the biological and behavioral aspects of the disorder, including its classification, neurotransmitter involvement, early and late-stage symptoms, and treatment options. Using reputable sources like the CDC, Mayo Clinic, and the Alzheimer’s Association, students build a profile of the disorder for their Mental Health Reference Guide. This project strengthens research skills while encouraging empathy for individuals living with cognitive decline. Includes editable slides, a student reference guide, and an optional Canva template for structured documentation.
